Hopefully this will be in the main tab at the top left of the home page. Category: Lead Article. Don’t want it to be lower down in either of the other columns.

Located on the Warwickshire / Leicestershire border just outside Atherstone in the heart of England. Mythe Farm has 5 well appointed bed and breakfast accommodation rooms and a UK Chasers Course (no. 25) which offers superb off road riding with a good variety of cross country jumps. Ideally situated in the beautiful Midlands countryside between the market town of Atherstone and the villages of Sheepy Magna and Ratcliffe Culey, there is easy access to the NEC and the M42, M6, M69, M1 and M40 motorways within 30 minutes. There are many local attractions nearby at Market Bosworth, Nuneaton and Tamworth within a 15 minute drive. Mythe Farm bed and breakfast is the perfect place from which to explore the attractions of the midlands, stay for business or simply relax and enjoy the surrounding countryside.
‘Mythe’ Farm comes from the Old English ‘meeting of the rivers’. The rivers Anker and Sence meet at the foot of the slope to the front of the farmhouse where legend has it King Richard III watered his horse before the Battle of Bosworth in 1485, now nicknamed ‘King Dick’s Hole’.

The farmhouse was designed as a cheese – making dwelling in the mid eighteenth century. The area was renowned for it’s cheeses and Atherstone, the local market town, was once described by Daniel Defoe as ‘the greatest cheese market in England’. The farm house attic was the cheese resting store where the beams supported many shelves for the cheeses, and the ground floor at the rear of the house was where the cheese – making operation was carried out. The solid stone cheese press can still be seen in the stable yard today. The farmhouse has an elevated position o top of a hill with beautiful views across the river valley towards Atherstone.

Today Mythe Farm extends to approximately 150 acres and like many farms across the UK, has diversified. We have a flock of approximately 150 sheep, 11 DIY livery stables where the owners of the horses attend them every day, and of course the bed and breakfast. We also operate outdoor activities for groups including Quad Biking, Off Road Rally Karting, Archery, Laser Clay Pigeon Shooting and Team Building Exercises and there is an equestrian cross country course across the farm. If you enjoy fishing you can bring your own tackle and fish for roach, bream, dace, gudgeon, chub, barbel, trout and greyling.
Please browse our website for further information about our farmhouse bed and breakfast accommodation, UK chasers course, fishing and local attractions. We hope you find it informative, and are more than happy to answer any questions you may have.
